Keith Tennant P.Eng., Chief Exploration Officer at Curiance, is an advisor and coach, working with founders and owners to identify and execute on opportunities. By continually asking question, he helps his clients capture their stories to ensure their vision, relationships, values, and tools are aligned towards success.
Tennant’s career started as an electrical engineer developing software and hardware systems for collection, production, and exploitation of big data before it was called big data*. This provided him the privilege of being introduced to people, cultures, and friends on 6 continents and customers in dozens of industries. On this journey he discovered that engineering success did not lead to customer, or company success. He set out to understand why by assuming roles throughout the value chain. It took him too long to realize that while the systems he loved to design were crucial; sustained success needed strong relationships based on shared vision and values. He now works with clients to potentially avoid some of his mistakes.
After this 30-plus year international career he is happy to stay closer to home and focus on helping build resilience in his community, as well as spending time skiing, biking, and most importantly playing with his granddaughter.
